The 'Delving into Quranic Meaning Courses' are 10 week courses that run throughout each semester and explore, in-depth the verses from the chosen Surah. The first aspect involves exploring what the classical books of tafseer mention about the verses and then exploring their application in our lives. This is an applied tafseer and tadabbur class.
The course also entails an exploration of the most frequent Quranic vocabulary from the ayaat being studied. The vocabulary has been selected from the most frequently occurring nouns, verbs and particles found in the Qur’an.

The overall goal of the course is to gain guidance from 'The Book of Guidance' and to achieve implementation from 'The Book that was sent to be implemented' - aspiring to be as our noble Prophet ﷺ was :
" A Qur'an walking on this earth".
The course also demonstates how the meaning of words is changed by the addition of certain pronouns and points-out some basic rules of arabic grammar (nahw) from the ayaat while particularly focusing on subtleties in the expected sentence structure.
Further Information:
The exploration of the ayaat (verses) is derived from the authentic books of Tafseer, such as - but not limited to:
Tafseer Ibn Kathir, Tafseer As-Saadi, Tafseer al-Jalalayn, Tafseer Ibn Aashoor, Tafseer at-Tabari. This is then supplemented by further exploration of the ayaat by listening to a sharh of the selected ayaat by specialists in the field such as Sheikh Khalid as-Sabt and Sheikh Uthmaan al-Khamees.
