Loving the Prophet ﷺ Is Part of Faith
"We were with the Prophet ﷺ while he was holding the hand of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb. ʿUmar said to him, ‘O Messenger of Allah, you are more beloved to me than everything except my self.’ The Prophet ﷺ replied, ‘No, by the One in whose hand is my soul, not until I am more beloved to you than your self.’ So ʿUmar said, ‘Indeed now, by Allah, you are more beloved to me than my self.’ The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Now, O ʿUmar!’” [Authentic – Sahih, reported by al-Bukhari]
